Center Facilities
The Children’s Center at Milton Academy is located in an Academy owned, stand alone building on the East campus of Milton Academy. The space is approximately 2,400 square feet and was built in 1990. There are two outdoor play areas, one adjacent to the building and another in the wooded land very close to the center. Bright Horizons and Milton Academy have partnered together to make several facility enhancements.

Center History
The Children’s Center at Milton Academy has a rich history and sense of connection with the Milton community. Parents are actively engaged in the center activities. The center is a close-knit community of support for families, children and faculty. The center faculty is warm and caring, creating an environment that welcomes children, families, and center visitors. The center offers a warm, inviting environment for children to learn and thrive. The center is a place where children can develop friendships, families can meet and support each other, and faculty can grow and develop professionally.

Upon its inception the center was operated by an independent parent board comprised of Milton Academy faculty, staff, and community parents, with daily management provided by an onsite Director. Despite a successful relationship between the Academy and the parent board, increasing demand for child care services and a desire to consider other programs led the Academy and the parent board to explore qualified providers. On August 15, 2005, Bright Horizons Family Solutions assumed management of the center. From the onset of the Bright Horizons/Milton Academy relationship, it became evident that both parties are similarly focused on high quality early childhood education within a cooperative and productive client relationship.
