About Us
Welcome to The Children’s Center at Milton Academy!
The Children’s Center at Milton Academy transitioned to Bright
Horizons’ management on August 15, 2005, combining the strength
and expertise of Bright Horizons in the field of early care and
education with the educational excellence and strong traditions
of Milton Academy.
We have capacity for 36 children ages six weeks through five years.
The infant program offers a 1:3.5 teacher to child ratio for children
ages 6 weeks through 15 months. The toddler program offers a 1:4.5
teacher to child ratio for children ages 15 months through 2 years
and 9 months. The preschool program offers a 1:10 teacher to child
ratio for children ages 2 years and 9 months through 5 years, and
often has a third teacher to further enhance this ratio. Our center
is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Our
center is located on the Milton Academy campus, offers priority
enrollment to families who are Milton Academy employees, and also
serves families from the surrounding community.
We invite you to visit our center to learn more about our program.
Our director will be delighted to show you our center and answer
any questions concerning your child’s early care and education.
When you are ready to register your child, please fill out the
Pre-Enrollment Registration form, found in the forms
section of this Web site. For more information regarding our educational
philosophy and program for learning, please visit the curriculum
section of this Web site.
Full parent partnerships are the cornerstone to our program. The
Children’s Center at Milton Academy has an open door policy;
we encourage parents to stop by for visits, to spend time in your
child’s homebase, and participate in the homebase activities.
Center information is shared with parents through email, newsletters,
handouts, and electronic messages at the center. In addition, regular
family events are held. Two parent committees offer formal opportunities
for parent involvement: Events/Fundraiser Committee and Parent Partnership
Committee.
